Whats with the steel pan? I have nice aluminum skid marks on my garage floor from where I pulled a Zetec around tonight. The pan in my car is also aluminum. Was it a 98+ thing?



How hard was it? I don't have a lift or anything to lift the engine up with, but I might be able to borrow the latter.
In the hayne's it sounds like more of a pain than I thought it would be, like removing the exhaust, and a bunch of other stuff. Is all that necessary?

And I don't know why it's a steel pan, seems dumb to me, I don't know if I could replace it with an aluminum one or not.
