hey perry thanks for your help i will see if i can locate the correct #'s but the two trips to radio shack have yeilded nothing. we will see.

Correct, Europe has no rules saying the sidemarkers have to be on with the lights. If you want the sidemarkers to come on only with the turn signals, just wire directly to the turn signals; no need for any other components.

Perry has the right list, any of the components there will work. Radio Shack rates their diodes at 50V minimum, so it's more than adequate.
