Apparently the diesel version isn't all that great, according to Clarkson. Noisy engine, lots of power but not very linear delivery, and you've really got to work the gearbox to keep the engine in the powerband.

He is a muppet. Its the only bad review of that car I have come across. All the rest of the European car mags gave it good reviews.

Did you hear he is returning his Ford GT to Ford because he keeps having trouble with the immobiliser? Which was not installed by Ford? WTF!!!!!

Well, to be fair, he likes all the other Mondeos that I've seen him review. It's just this specific model that rubbed him wrong. He said something to the effect of how good the overall line must be if his negative comments are how the high beams aren't that great.

I drove the TD and they do fly, although i too wish i had one
