that's where we disagree. i believe that cheney and/or bush helped to mold intelligence to support their case for war and intentionally brushed aside or ignored the clues that the intelligence was flawed. i also think they knew the intelligence wouldn't hold up under the intense scruitiny it eventually got, but by that time we would already be in a position of no return. can't unfire a gun. that's when they changed their case for war from being based on intelligence that supported their initial reasons of nukes, wmds, and terror --- to iraqi freedom. i am still very upset about that and i don't understand why more conservatives don't care.
and you may be right about this lady being mad about her son registering behind her back. honestly i haven't followed her situation very closely other what i catch on good morning america during breakfast. she is being over dramatic about her cause and isn't realistic about our options as far as pulling out. i agree she may be disallusioned by thinking we should just pull out now and leave iraq to fend for themselves. iraq may eventually fall into a worse situation (civil war), but leaving now would guarantee it.
