And there is the attitude that has destroyed America as it once was. Kids are no longer a blessing. They are an INCONVENIENCE. Man, I can't stand this attitude. If you don't want the INCONVENIENCE of kids, then guess what.....DON'T HAVE THEM! And to ensure this, don't get married and don't have sex. Kids are kids and they NEED the time to run, to play, to relax, to forget about the homework they have due tomorrow, or next week. And they need to see that their parents view them as MORE IMPORTANT than any job outside the home...

Plus it'd better prepare them for how the work force actually operates. I think a revamping of our school system is in order!

OH PLEASE!! I seriously hope you are kidding right?

And where is the emphasis on finances? In a world that revolves around it, very little time is spent on money management.

Oh, that's right...The parents are no longer responsible for teaching the kids...Since when did it become the schools responsibility to teach a kid to be a person, to be able to live in this world? Another HUGE problem with our society and school system in general. Parents have relinquished all responsibility for the kids and given it to the teachers. The teachers in turn end up working, not 8, but 12 - 16 hours a day for very little reimbursement.

No, the parents are to teach the kids to be financially responsible. The teachers are to teach the kids about history, science, math, reading, and all other book knowledge, not life knowledge.

Individualized testing (and testing period) is another area that doesn't truly represent how folks work in the real world. It's very rare that a person works on their own in anything in America.

Just some thoughts...

Yep, let's make them work in groups...That way the kids who aren't so bright get slapped in the face and pushed into the background and the smart kids simply do all the work for the job. I don't know about you, but if you think back to the group work in school, every teacher I ever had said "MAKE SURE ONE OF YOU DOESN'T DO ALL THE WORK!!" Well, it didn't matter how much a teacher said that, one person always ended up doing most of the work. And unfortunately, everybody suffers because of it. Think about it. The smart kids don't get all the credit they deserve, instead the SLACKERS, who didn't do any work, get some of the credit. That's a great idea!!!!
