Why is that they hate it? I can see teachers opposing kids in school year round. Who wouldn't want a three month vacation?!
because the schools are year round because of overcrowding. so, when one "track" is off for a month and a half another track takes their place. typically, a large school will have 3-4 tracks in it. you can easily have friends in different tracks that you see off and on, the teachers can get switched around. plus, your younger siblings in elementary school can be in a seperate track which sux for the whole family when everyone's schedules differ. and the "world" revolves around a traditional school year calendar. summers off, spring break, Christmas vaction, college schedules etc. even in the traditional calendar schools, there are so many kids that have to go to summer school it practically is year round although summer school is a joke compared to regular school.
i see your reasoning though and it does make sense.
