Heres what I did compared to the others. I ordered the small, flat SVT emblem from the 1994-95 Lightning/Cobras. Then I covered up the Ford logo with some hi quality vinyl tape that is specifically used to cover up chrome trim. I then trimmed it with my thumbnail and then installed the new SVT emblem. It fits in there PERFECT laugh You see some guys just pry the logo off and paint behind there, but that looks like crap because of all the glue and stuff. I also did this in the rear as well. Good luck with your car!

What I did was use the contour SVT logo. I popped out the plastic (Ford part) of the normal emblem, and than used a belt sander to take down the chome edge (took it off the car). I then painted the backround black, and used 2 sided 3M tape for the logo.

looks like this...

I have closer pictures if you need them.

hey jvt, nice job, looks really nice...
but for the rest of you guys, you are putting in way too much effort and not getting the greatest results...i wish i had some pics of mine...i have a buddy that works for a sticker company...www.stickerdudedesigns.com...
i had him get me some carbon fiber stickers..we took that and covered up the ford logos on the front, back, the contour logos on the door panel, and the 24valve badgese on the side....next he made 4 svt logo's out of silver stickers...fit those into the right spots..one in front, back, and the door panels where it used to say contour...much easier, no labor, and it peels right off when you need to get rid of the car....if you guys want more info let me know..ill try to get some pics...

Thanks...

The chrome ring I got painted at the local body shop to match the color of the car. The grill I painted silver using hi-temp paint from Wal-Mart, and the SVT badge is painted flat/matte black.

The holes left by the Ford emblem I filled with bondo, sanded it down.
