It's my gf's 18th b-day in a few weeks and she's looking to buy a car,and she loves my Contour and loved my Mystique,and we both figured what the heck,and get her a Contique of her own.

I was scouring Autotrader today and found some decent ones,and her price range is about $2750 max. That can get her a decent one I guess,seeing how my Mystique was $700 and my Contour was $1600. I called about a really nice bright blue '95 zetec atx for $1600 cert & e-tested with 177k on it,but it was already sold.

Doesn't really matter if it's a zetec or duratec,but it's gotta be an automatic. She's 5' foot even,and at her height,driving a stick is kinda tough for her,because last week I tried teaching her stick on my car. She has to sit with the seat all the way forward just to be able to push the clutch all the way in and I swear,if the airbag ever went off,she'll lose her head.

Other than the Autotrader listings,does anyone know of any decent Contours or Mystiques around? We're looking for one that's either already saftied,or doesn't need much to safety. Doesn't have to be the best car either,seeing how she's driving it and well,you know women drivers....

I'm selling one of mine. It's in auto trader. It's a silver 1998 SE V6 selling for $2500.

I think that would be a good car for her. I'm flexible on the price, I need it sold.

She just told me that she is willing to spend up to $5k on a car. I said to her "do you want to buy a cheap car for like $1500,and then spend $1000 to certify it", as in my case,paid $1600 for my car and spent $1500 to certify it,or "do you want to take that $2500 you spent on a crap car and certifcation and spend it on a nice car for $2500 that needs no work?"

She chose the latter of course,seeing how she's seen all the hardships I've been through with mine in the last 3 months.
