DIY rear brakes = $120-ish for rotors and pads +? (maybe $150 for 2 new calipers?) for calipers + 2 hrs. time (max, taking it nice and slow). Was that a quote from a dealer? I once got a quote for all 4 corners (rotors and pads) and it was ~ $500. Did it my self for less than 1/2 of that

WOW!!! I was charged 350+ ONCE because the pin holding the whole rear caliper fell off and drained the whole system....but that was for a new caliper, brakes and a flush and bleed of the whole system while it was there (believe me, I would have done the work myself, but that ain't an option when you're stranded). Check out Stazi's brakes....i think I will be purchasing a whole set of 4 rotors, pads, etc proably this winter.

Even a dealer wouldn't give you an arse raping like that! You know you could have purchased the Baer kit for less than that! Holy christ you got hosed.
