All right, I guess I'm convinced we're not dealing with a Subaru clutch here. Sounds like the clutch may be one of the most durable components of the car. I do love my Contour, I bought it 'cause nothing in its price range can touch it for handling ability. I've never tired of driving it, it has to be the best car I've ever owned. Looks like we'll keep it for another 50K and hope she holds together. Thanks for all the input.

I can't believe the mileage some of you guys pulled out of the stock clutch.

Mine was at about 85k when it just didn't feel quite right anymore. Didn't shift as smooth, slipped alot when hot, etc.

I hope my SPEC will give alot more life than the stock.
