I have a sony W1 and know a few people that have it also and like it. I have a few other friends with sonys too. They make good all around cameras. Canon's are good stuff too. I'm not a fan of the kodak company in general, but their digital's seem to work alright. One thing I dont like is they all have a plastic body whereas most other point and shoot ones have a metal body.

That is one thing that I don't like about the Kodaks. They sure are light weight though! Canon is also an EXCELLENT all-around product. Good call.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

That is one thing that I don't like about the Kodaks. They sure are light weight though! Canon is also an EXCELLENT all-around product. Good call.
yes, and they dont exactly make small cameras (kodak). everyone keeps saying sony sony sony, which i agree 100% but you guys are forgetting that he wants to do this for cheap. a decent sized memory stick for a sony camera, especially the pro duo sticks, will cost him half of what the camera will. meanwhile, he can get the same sized secure digital card or compact flash card for peanuts. sonys are awesome but theyre not for people trying to do things on a budget. and lets face it, no one wants to walk around with only 32mb of memory so they can take a whopping 20 low res pictures.
