the top halves are identical however the sides are not. i need the sides of the svt bumper to line up with the lines from the fender.  duh!
Meh, do what you want. You paid for the bumper. I guess I was just hoping to see the M3 bumer idea as opposed to the Mondeo. I think I'm part of the .005% of CEG that thinks that in the looks department:

Sorry Mark but for the first time i have to disagree with you.....the 5 door hatch mondeos have a far smoother flowing rear section(hatch) and the tails are killer.....if i could afford to buy and import one i would.
as far as bumpers go, i definitly say do the m3 over the mondeo, then again, put the right lip spoiler o nthe mondeo and taht one is on top.

I guess I'm partial to the SVT ~3-1/2 in round foglights. Seeing that Mondeo bumper, and it's Olds Alero style foglights, it shuns the SVT name a bit(in my eyes). So Mikey, if you're set on this bumper, go for it. It's definitely different, only not in the way that I(but not all) see as a positive.

If you have to get one from across the pond, make sure it's either cleaned up very well or brand new. They won't allow used auto parts into the country from anywhere else other than Canada  It took some.....craftiness to get some used SVT cams into Ireland

Remember the crash bar on the Mondeo is shorter so you will need to lengthen the cover to fit our cars.

I dont see why that would matter, its not like the car's natural lines matter. As long as it looks agressive and doesnt fit the lines of the Contour its good.
