How's this for a front end swap. It's a horrible picture but you get the idea. Doesn't look like any molding but clever none the less.

cougar hood, fenders, and bumper. Anyone else ever see this? It's different but personally I like the SVT front better.

Those pics are very old. They used to be floating around on blueovalnews.com years ago. It's a test mule from ford, someone snapped pics of it in their lot. There used to be a page on BON with with pics of other test mules from ford.

i would do it...just because there are some sweet looking fronts for the couger.....

wonder if it would be any easyer to mold an aftermarket cougar fascia than say one from the mid 90-s integra (closest to us in front bumper dimentions as far as i know)

Mikey.... Must I beg you not to do it?? I think that bumper looks very out of place on these cars.. If I were to put those 4 spoke wheels on mine, would people follow?

I think your original M3 idea would be 10x better!

Oh, and don't chop up that brand new SVT front I sold you!!

Well, this topic is pretty much hijacked. I wish there was more information about the molding process being discussed here, such as what the thread starter was requesting.

So, to get it back on track:

Shawn, I'm pretty serious about doing this. I think I'm going to end up buying a urethane welder and this how-to book and try to do it myself. The way I figure it, its probably going to cost $200 max for the equipment and tools and materials (minus bumper costs), which would save me $400 easily. If I buy this equipment, you're welcome to use it for your project.

Beyondloaded PM'd me and it sounds pretty straightforward: cut, weld, sand down bumpiness from the weld, fill in shallow spots or holes with duramix, prime, paint, win. (I'm going to have a bodyshop paint it, but I think everything up to the primer part should be do-able). I dunno how easy it would be for your rear bumper thing but that's the process.
