I did it myself, but Silver Frost is an easy color to match. Black would be too. Other colors I would recommend going to a paint shop. The key to making it durable is how many coats of clearcoat you put on it. I used some pretty good stuff. Duplicolor Laquer, high gloss stuff. It also has that "flex" stuff in it, which will keep it pliable.

Man that grill ring looks like A$$ !!! wink

Just kidding Chris laugh !! I will be doing that to mine very soon also . I am getting another grille to do it to so that I can put mine back to stock if the need arises (or if I don't like it ... although I know I will !) . Are the rings just plastic coated with a "faux chrome" ?? I haven't really looked into it that closely yet .

That ring seems to be real metal. I just sanded the crap out of it. It actually looked pretty cool, like brushed stainless steel. Primer two coats, color two coats, then clearcoat about five coats. Then, you can wetsand it, then buff.

Clearcoat, is on your car. Clearcoat acts like a buffer between the paint the elements. The more layers the better.

Clearcoat is a good thing. Acrylic Laquer. Check out an autoparts store, in the paint section.
