My 98 LS was just 7 years old. I'm an old guy (56) and love this car so I got it a subwoofer. An 8in amplified Bazooka. I tried it different places and wound up putting it behind the back seat. I control it with a Kenwood MPV-8025 and together with tthe 4 Pioneer 6X8's it makes a nice low budget system. I am no expert by any means but it installed in a half hour and I do not experience any problems with the sound transmitting into the cabin. I do not like "thump" just a nice lower end to suppliment the Pioneers. One question. I set the HPF to 125 and the LPF to 80HZ does this sound about right? It sounds great to me.
I do not post often but lurk a lot. I never miss an opportunity to praise this car. It has been basically trouble free (Alternator replaced) and has remained a blast to drive. I will retire in a couple years and am really struggling already with what to replace it with. right now I'm leaning towards a Focus with the slightly larger engine. I however can't seem to imagine not having that wonderfull V6. Maybe a Mustang? Take care CEG'ers !
