You know when it is hot and I'm adding just a little throttle I can sometimes get a ping but when I advance the throttle to full it will go away as either the timing is adjusted or the fuel is added. I'm guessing that only wide open throttle was tuned and that part throttle is not optimized in my case and maybe not in your case.
I wouldn't trust a narrow band O2 sensor. They are vary too much in voltage from sensor to sensor. I'd have to see more information before I believe that it would be accurate.
