my rear drivers wheel decided to make an exodus from my car. all four wheel studs had broke and i was turning into a gas station b/c there was a wierd vibration from the back. when i turned, it left. i get out and there are these guys digging a hole for a gas line for something, and i look at them then one says "your tire is rolling down the road" so naturally like in the movie Rat Race i take off after it in traffic (thank God everyone stopped, even though they had no choice) and grab it. when i get back to the car i realize the guy that said it was a friend of mine from high school i haven't seen in about 5 years. so, i guess that it wasn't a totally bad experience. i'm just glad it didn't happen on the way back from Jamestown on monday.
i really dislike this car, i traded in a perfectly fine V-6 accord for it that i never had any probloems with for a car that i have easily dropped $5000-$6000 just to keep running over the past 3 years on top of what i paid.

HOLY SHNICKEYS! At least it didn't come off while you were driving down the highway at a high speed. Do you know what caused all four studs to break?

That sucks. :-)
If it is your DD, I would have dumped it awhile ago if it is truely costing that much more. Sometimes it is better to get something newer and pay more for it.

it is and i concur, i bought back in the day when gas prices were reasonable and it was a total impulse buy. i don't regret it, b/c now whenever i make a major purchase i think it over and research it instead of going out and just spending money.
but i have no idea how all four studs could have broke. i haven't hit any curbs and i mostly sit on 395 in traffic. just my luck i guess

having followed and discussed with you the many, many problems you have had with the car, I would say trade it in/sell it/set it on fire and start fresh.
I have a "beater" because I don't trust my SVT as a DD.

ditto, but someone loosened my lugs, or maybe they just vibrated loose or something. regardless, tire flew off, but I wasn't even driving the car last time I let anyone else drive it (stupid me)
