Had a 1991 Yamaha FZR600.

Currently borrow my father-in-laws 1998 Harley Springer Softtail (bike on the right).

Current story:

Aug.4: Left Houston, TX at 3pm, encountered very little rain (no need to put on the raingear), and arrived in Oklahoma City at 11pm and stayed the night.

Aug.5: Left OKC, OK at 7am, drove through Kansas and stopped in Grand Island, Nebraska at 6pm for the night.

Aug.6: Left Grand Island, NE at 7am and headed Northwest. Entered South Dakota, rode through Custer Park, Black Hills Forest, stopped at Mount Rushmore and arrived in Rapid City, South Dakota for the night.

Aug.7: Left at 7am, drove East to the Badlands Natl Park in South Dakota. Then drove West to Sturgis. Partying ensued. Arrived back at hotel in Rapid City at 3am.

Aug.8: Left at 7am to Sturgis. More partying. Back at hotel in Rapid City at around 9pm.

Aug.9: Left Rapid City at 6am and drove to Deadwood. Ate breakfast in Deadwood and continued into Wyoming then headed South. Entered Colorado and stopped for the night in Pueblo, CO at 6pm.

Aug.10: Left Pueblo, CO at 6am, drove east for a bit, then south through Oklahoma, through Amarillo, TX then Southeast past Wichita Falls, TX, through Dallas and arriving back in Houston at 1am. 19 hours in one day.

Things I learned?

1. Riding without a windshield for 3300 miles definitely sucks.
2. My Vanson perforated leather jacket owns. In the slightly cooler mornings (60-70 degrees), a long sleeve t-shirt was perfect underneath the jacket. In the dead heat of the Badlands (102 degrees, 15% humidity), I was fine as long as I was moving. In Texas heat (95 degrees, 95% humidity), I was fine as long as I was moving.
3. I think I earned my right to trailer the bike next time.

Now, as far as my own bike, I'm on the fence between a Monster or the new Speed Triple.

That may be for your Kawasaki, But on the R6, The Akra is the shiznit!
The Yamaha dealer I work for on Saturdays races two R6's and have seen the most power out of the Akra. They've tryed Graves, Yamaha GYTR, and many others.
Akra caters to Yamaha like Muzzy does to Kawasaki, and Yosh to Suzuki.

Akra is a F@#KEN RIP-OFF!

My full hindle system cost as much as an Akra slip-on AND was dyno'd to make more power than the Akra full system.

Akra can lick my sack. It's for posers.

I don't have a bike, but my wife does. It's a 1989 Honda CB1. It is only a 400cc, but goes pretty well and is more than enough for her. She wants a Ducati Monster 600, but she's going to have to wait a while to get one. I just took these pictures this afternoon after washing my car.
