Some of the chrome pieces did get pulled off, how did you reattach yours? I did mine Cabernet Red, but didn't use silicone (stupid me) to reattach and the Goop has pulled off some of the paint. I'm gonna redo it carbon fiber tape.
I tried drilling a small hole into the back as well up toward the top, but didn't want to bust through the plastic.
As far as the pieces that came off, I pulled it off, sanded the emblem, then placed it back on very gently. I didn't glue it on, I just painted over it. After that, I just glued it on to the backing. That held it in just fine.
