HEy I just got a 1997 conture sport with the 16v Zetec and i was wondering what you would think about putting spiderlites (www.spiderlite.com) in to the light housings. My father is realy glad that im into hot rodding cars and made a sugestion. removingt the lights that are mounted on the the decklid., ne other ideas for appearance or preformance would be welcomed.

They are not bright AT ALL.....quicksilver on these boards has them, and after following him arouond IL the other weekend, all i can say is don't buy them....unles you want to get rearended

Never seen those before, but I don't really see what the big deal is. I doubt anyone else would even notice.

second that. i followed him on the way to SZ and you can BARELY freaking see them.
i think getting rear ended is inevitable with those lights.

followed him half the way to mikey's and ya, I didn't know that he had spiderlites, I just knew to keep my distance for when his car would slow down cause there isn't much warning.
maybe they're better at night though.... lol

Sorry for my krappy spelling!!! Thanks for all of the information. What type of compound would i use fo fill the hole where the inside light went? and where should i put the backup lights?
