sorry guy's i didn't do my research on the last post i made in this thread so lightning are automatic


i was under the impression that all svt s were standered transmisions

Lightnings are the only SVT product to date to be automatics, I wouldn't want it any other way..

A friend of mine named Enzo, who is a chassis engineer at SVT. I've discussed the video with him, and he was simply getting acclimated to the car and the track, and taking it very easy, as can be seen by the less than "competitive" line he takes (I joked with him about having seen 5 year olds lay down a better line with crayon). Basically out for a sunday drive. The fact that Cliff (the lightning driver) has a hard time keeping up on the straights is evidence of the raw power of the GT. The MazdaSpeed Protoge screaming by simply means he was running the track at full tilt, and Enzo and Cliff let him by so they could keep taking it easy (at least easy on the GT, Cliff was still having to work it to keep up).
