Intruders were decommissioned but not Prowlers...those are the only tactical airborne jamming platform available to the US military now, if you discount the cargo/airliner conversions. The Navy should be in the middle of rolling out a capability upgrade right now for the Prowlers, in fact...these birds most likely won't go away until the electronic-warfare version of the Super Hornet comes online in squadron-level numbers, and even then they might retain them.

I'm not convinced it's a 2-engine aircraft - if you listen to the converstation carefully there's only references to "the engine" except for when they're punching out at the end where he radios that they've lost "an" engine. No references to adjusting power on the other engine to compensate. I'm guessing it's a training aircraft given the part where the back-seater tells the other guy that he'll fly the plane and to work on restarting the engine up front. In any event, shows how one unlucky bird can ruin your whole day.
