And we can do it much cheaper too :-) <1000 you can run mid-low 12s ;-) With that much you may break into the low 14s :-P Originally posted by bnoon: Originally posted by RTStabler51: I won't turn this into a pissing contest ;-)
Awwwwwwww, come on... pretty please? Pretty sad when Lightning and Silverado SS owners come to a Contour board to piss on each other though I guess. O.K., no more peeing...
Sum it up: there are plenty more Lightning owners in the 10's than there are Silverado SS owners, but they are out there. The difference is that most Lightning owners do it on slicks and Silverado AWD's can do it on every day radials. I won't be one of them though 'cause it costs to much to play right now...

It's Senior Mullet Head now... (denoting a step up in age bracket)
A hot rod "truck" is barely a step away from a full mullet head.

Naaaaaaahs and head work my friend. Who cares if I cheat by putting my baby on the bottle. Winning is winning. Right now, you win.
Wanna run 'em? Bring it on over sometime in December-January when I might have a chance.

I've seen 7,000 and 7,500 gross towing listed on websites, though I haven't looked through the actual GM manual to confirm it yet. Also unsure about the year difference.
I'll go check out the manual on my '03. I need to figure out how to use a few of the gadgets anyway...

Tow rating is 7,000 pounds for the "tall" gears and 7500 for the optional performance ratio is what I can gather.

stazi, stop acting like you know what you're talking about. it's not like you're an engineer or something.
