I think the front end is a little busy, but it's aggressive looking, too.

Subaru has not made a good looking car since the Loyale.
This car takes an already ugly Impreza, and whacks it with the Tribeca-ugly stick.
It's busy, clumsy, unintegrated, and totally lacks flow...
2006 has FAR too many dramatically ugly cars in it... most years, this would get it a mention for the Aztek Award, but there are just too many which are even worse (a definite achievement).

Jesus Christmas! It looks like a pug dog ran into a glass window, then a five year old took some cranyons and traced the smudge mark, then handed it to some smucking-fart designer on crack.  Just when I though subaru was doing something right, then turn around and crap on it.
But to each his own...I guess if you want to call it that
