I have this annoying clonk in the rear whenever I go over the washboard or smaller bumps, especially when only one wheel hits the bump. Large smooth bumps don't clonk much. I inspected the suspension, looks like sway bar links are worn. I could not make the struts make any noise, other than being on the soft side, they don't make anything when compressed/released. I bought the two sway bar links, bloody stealership $65 CDN and it is ONLY for the two shackles WITHOUT RUBBER BUSHINGS or anything else, no bolt/nut assy, nothing. Is there any cheaper place to get this, even if I need to buy them in the US?

Thanks

PM Stazi. He'll hook you up. MUCH higher quality.

You might need the sway bar "cushions" which are bolted to the frame, D shaped rubber things. Mine allowed the bar to knock at the corner of the frame. My Dad,retired engineer, shimmed the flat side of the bushings to raise it up off the frame a bit. And do the links as well. The rubber pieces in the control arms are hard to change, and you may not need them. I have the Ford numbers if you need them (For a 1998 Mystique LS 6cyl, your parts may differ).
