You can change the door switches. Ive done mine in red too. They are only LEDs. You can get them at Radio Shack. A word of caution, when you pry the 2 pieces of the switch apart, be careful. There are 2 metal pieces that make contact to make the switch work. They fall out easily and are lost even easier. Once these are lost, the switch soes not work.
