He stated that it ran fine, until he mis-shifted in to 2nd, instead of 4th... unless it caused SUCH a drastic change in acceleration, that it caused two plug wires to swing in the air, and land on the opposite coil, I don't see this being the problem.

Of course, this is assuming that the car DID, infact, run fine before.

I couldn't find the missed shift 4 to 2 information. Unless you know from another post?

but, yes, IIRC it was another post that stated 4-2.
