Microsoft just barely got windows XP under control now... my suggestion as a computer science student, would be to stick with your current OS unless you are just installing the beta on a computer that you dont use just for the hell of it. when the development process is over, you still have to buy the software in all its bug filled glory... and then you still have to reinstall it on your computer... go out and buy (or download as alot are free) a good version of linux.
Spoken like a true anti-Microsoft lemming.
I have been spending more and more time using my computer these days.. ie: torrents, filesharing, networking and what not. I would have to say that Windows is a huge pain in the arse, and everyone I know who has a Mac loves it. In the near future I might consider a Mac, but in the meantime would Linux be a nice change of scenery? or at least something less buggy then XP? I have a pretty good knowledge base with computers, so I think I would be able to figure alot of the differences out. Basically, I know nothing about Linux, and after a quick web search, I didn't find anything that compelling...
