You have to wind it out, but its there. Hey and guess what maybe they were in between recalls but my car just finished with geting its dash replaced the week before, so I guess its kinda funny as my car was being recalled, they were also recalling the Focus, if only the service people had the Focus done I could of driven it while my recall was being performed.

I would also be more then happy to put my CSVT up against any other, you can ask several peopel from any of our meets if they think my Contour is slow..... mad Actually now that I think about it I may just be a natural with a high reving four banger and a six speed!

actually we also live at elevation and it affects evry car a bit different, my contour is a sixteen second car up here!

Either way I suggest you guys check it out, Focus fan or not its pretty cool. I also wouldnt part with my cash for one, nor the Jetta...I think we will wait for a new SAAB 9-3!

Some guy at local ford SVT dealer in milwaukee took a bone stock SVT Focus with very little miles on it to the track, he is a car parker or whatever you call them, he ran 16.2, 16.0 and 15.9 on a car with 20 miles on it... my stock contour SE with only 500 miles ran 15.7s... hmmm

So what the fcjk does hmmm! mean? seriously I said the car felt as fast to about third gear, thats all. so your telling me I should have noticed the difference in a two tenths of a second quarter mile ? It has the same amount of horse power as your SE yet weighs in at 300 pds less I can assure you the car feeels every bit as quick. However if it ends up being two tenths of a second off, well I am sorry my ass dyno fails to calculate down to a tenth of a second!

Damn give the guy a break. Just because he says the Focus SVT feels fast everyone jumps all over him. I haven't driven one but from the numbers it looks like it will be about the same performance wise as the Contour SVT. Plus the Focus has a TON of aftermarket. I think we all know who the winner is between the two.

Hmmm,

the dealer here (Campbell Ford in Ottawa) wouldn't let me take a test drive (and I'm 30). Said the car would lose value in they put any mileage on it.

He said I could get a test drive only if I bought the car.

Sheesh, maybe they're forgetting they're selling Fords, not Porsche...
