PLEASE make sure that when you adjusted the needle that you did so in a reliable fashion.. It would surely suck to get a ticket for 15 over when you don't even want one.

The MOST reliable (short of police radar) would be to equate a speed to a known rpm in a known gear... using "someone riding next to me at 55" isn't very accurate, but it would work, I guess..
