My trick to adjust my speedo when I removed and reinstalled my needles was:
The needle only starts to climb after a few MPH. It does not start immediately. Set the needle to wear you think it should be (should be pressed against the pin next to 0), then roll the car forward just a little. If the needle started to move right around 2-3 MPH (I believe), then you should be all set. Just push the needle down enough to not move around. Not to hard or it will get stuck.
I tested my way out using a CarChip in my OBD port and my needle shows to be working 100% accurately.
