Great to hear you're putting them to good use, & other than a bit of a sticky adjuster, you're enjoying them.
Most likely adjustment tab/shaft is just sticking a bit. I don't think it will be a big deal as you shouldn't need to adjust them very often. I never had to adjust them. When I first got them installed, I doubled checked that they were at the softest setting & let 'em go.
Otherwise, sounds like the strut shaft or threaded shaft section may be dented or damaged. Inspect them. Mechanics with air tools can get a little eagar sometimes. (I hope nothing happened during shipping
