You and your friend are in my prayers as well...

God gives his Grace freely to us, though not deserved by any of us... all He asks in return is that we share his Grace freely with others.

that's mature.

every once and a while, i make the mistake of thinking you might be an ok guy. then you manage to correct that opinion in short order.

again, chad... we are hoping for the best for your friend. no matter who's fault it is.

At that point I wasn't trying to be mature. Your comments along with Steeda's broken record like comments were a little over the top. My point was made that neither of you can handle what you dish out. You seem to NEVER let a topic come to rest without A: getting the last word in, or B: doing everything possible to completely piss somebody off and make yourselves look like complete asses while doing so. It'd just be nice to see a post where you two AREN'T putting someone down. I like to joke as much as the next person(which is exactly what I did in the post that you quoted), but telling a guy that has a good friend on his death bed, that you feel no sympathy for, have nothing positive to say, and pretty much writing him off as road kill is just ignorant. Remember, as easy as you clicked that Continue button, you could have backed out.

As this is more a post about ethics and beliefs, the bible speaks of no one to suffer.

Dude, everybody deserves to suffer. EVERYBODY! That's a fact in a sinful and fallen world. And in all reality, the Bible does not "speak of no one to suffer." In fact, the Bible speaks of taking responsibility for our actions, and suffering for said actions. If a dumb choice is made, as your friend made, he is GOING to suffer. And because we all make dumb choices, we all suffer. We're lucky if we don't have to suffer at the hands of dumb people, and your friend is lucky that nobody else (bystanders, other motorists) is not suffering with him.

Suffering is not all bad as it's made out to be. In fact, suffering is quite good, if you are willing to learn from it.

As for your friend, I hope he doesn't die, and I did say a quick prayer for him just now. But don't say he doesn't deserve to suffer. He made the choice to ingest the alcohol, and luckily nobody else is in a body bag because of it. And hopefully, he'll come out of it and be a better person for it.

I'm sorry it happened to him. And by the way, if you didn't want your friend to get the third degree here, you didn't have to tell CEG NATION that alcohol was involved...

So your coments dont belong here.

it's a public forum, so yes, they do. he didn't have to mention the fact that he was drunk, and in doing so, he knew there would be comments about it.

i hope his friend gets better. but i don't feel sorry for him. i feel sorry for his friends (like the chad) and his family, who will have to endure the pain of his actions.

yes... nothing positive to say there.

i'm glad you picked this thread to make a social commentary about my general posting behavior. if you have any future concerns, please do it via pm instead.

And what did you used to do for a living? I've worked in collections for almost 3 years, so I'm used to people calling me every name in the book. But you're right, I don't know you outside of this forum. It would be hard to argue though that you give a bad impression of yourself. I'm sure you and Mx are both cool guys outside of here, and if we didn't know eachothers board names, we'd have no problems with eachother. I do like to speak my mind, and that doesn't always agree with everyone else. Looks like we're all in the same boat, only we don't agree on what the other has to say , if that makes sense. But this thread isn't about you or me, it's about a guy that could possibly be living his last moments. Let the attention be towards him.
