OP 97gltour Newbie 9 Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 3 Bellingham, WA, USA	Hi! I sometimes peruse the forums from time to time and finally decided to register and be apart of the community. As you can see I have a 97 gl contour. I'm a student up at Western Washington University and technically this car is my dad's but he got a new taurus so I get to drive this. I really want to improve this car while my folks think it's just something to get from A to B...I'd rather get from A to B faster or in style haha. So, here are some pics of my sad looking tour. I would appreciate some recommendations on some easy and inexpensive mods to get started with. Note that everything in this car is stock except the head unit (stereo). Removing the ding strips is a good choice, unless the people at the University cant keep their own car doors off of yours. Tint is a good choice. (prices are in CDN $) - $57 -Vibrant Performance cone air filter - $35 -Ractive Fireball muffler - (regular price $199,but I got mine free) -Remove resonator and replace with straight pipe - About $20 with parts and welding,or clamps. Welded preferred. -Magnaflow high flow catalytic converter - $80 -Window tint - $175 -SVT rims with tires - a steal at $350 -Paint stuff! Whatever a can of paint costs! $6.99 usually. -Better lights - $28 ea x4 for Silverstars -SE sideskirts - $60 -Clean,detail,wax,shampoo. This is only the very beginning stages of my car as well,I've only had it since May. Best of luck,and you know where we are when you have some questions!
