http://www.fet-usa.com/ Company specializes in car lighting, from headlights to clear corners. Check out their new product line, the Hot Spot LED's. For taillights, to give them that brighter, Mercedes/Cadillac effect. Might make an interesting add on.

APC and Eurolite also make those. I saw the APC's at Pep Boys a couple weeks ago. Looks like an interesting concept, but I dunno how it would look. They'd probably be brighter and light up quicker, but you wouldn't get that Caddy look of a couple hundred LED's. Here are the Eurolite bulbs.

The LEDs only work when they are used in conjunction with clear lenses, reason being that these lenses have no ridges on them. The normal red lenses have ridges and are much darker for the light to pass through. Hence, installing the LEDs would render your car a traffic nightmere...

I can vouch for them looking like crap. They need to be facing backwards to use the reflector. I saw them on Clay's car this past Monday, and they are pretty bad. Looks like someone just shining a flashlight in the lens.
Clay, if you want, I can hack them up to make the LED's face backwards. It sounds like you can't return them, so let me make them work for ya.

Yep...I agree to not being able to see them. A guy here in PGH has them in his tour. While at night they are not bad for lighting...they are almost non-existant in daylight. You gotta look real hard to see them...
Plus, they make the turn signals click like a banshee on roids...
