Keep your saturn stock and build a nice weekend eclipse to have fun with.

I am not trying to bash your car choice. I am sure it gets great gas mileage, and it must be nice to have a new car under factory warranty. Your car is not a great performer to start, why start wasting your money?

I would limit myself to do-it-yourself kind of mods like painting the grill if I were you.

this car was purchased for reliability. I don't have the money to go all out modding. But have you ever driven an Ecotec equipped car or even an ION? Do you have any first hand experience in saying this car will not perfom well? It wont run 13s for a couple g's but saying it "cannot perform so why waste your money" is just ridiculous sounding to me.

Why would I mod this car? Because its mine, I'm going to be driving it for a while so why not modify it to satisfy my needs? Its not wasting money because its going into a car I drive everyday.

For now the only thing I have planned for this car is suspension mods and wheels and a couple bolt ons. None of that I consider a waste of money...
