I wasn't. The (digital) Startac is easily one of the best phones ever made. Between the one I had and my friends I saw them go through pretty insane stuff (being put through the wash, dropped in the pool, closed in a car door). The only company that is similar in that aspect IMO is Nokia, they make some tankish phones.

While I can't speak for what they do for other Carriers but I know Moto still makes CDMA phones that have analog. My V710 is tri-mode as is the V265 and V215(??).
