I loved the Startac design, but never have I seen a working one ... my freshman year roommate had three before he finally decided to upgrade ...

Razor doesn't do video, V551 does. other than that and the case design, they really are the same phone.
The whole v series are essentially the same phone, just some play vodeo (v600), others have bluetooth (551, razr)...all are becoming dated. The razr was dated before it even came out if you ask me.
If I had verizon, i'd go with the V710...the only v series worth every penny.

My other problem is the phones aren't tri-band (the ones I've seen at least).
No analog=no sale.
I don't know what I will do when my Kyocera 7135 dies.

Razr are for looks and deffinately not function. They offer no better features then most of the free phones out there...
Just got the Sony S710a...I like it alot even though I really wanted the K750i...

i just ordered mine. i went with the Rv3 Black. should be here next week.
i like not having an antenna since they always break on me. i also like the thin case. only downside was the price ($200) and i had to get a new data connect cable ($25). the V551 is offered with a $100 rebate in Boston with Cingular.
The Silver V3 doesn't record video BUT the black V3 does record video. I realllllly love this phone in black and opted to pay 300$ for the phone unlocked and unbranded (str8 from the manafacturer)

i went ahead and got the black razr v3. so far i am very happy with it. mine does not do video (only stills) but a simple firmware update takes care of that.

From what I understand, all the carriers are going to digital because the FCC is requiring them too. Only what I've heard
