i have had 3 motorola phones and been pretty happy with them. i currently have a 2 year old V400. color screen, camera, nice ring tones, etc... i also use the data port for synch'ing with my laptop. makes keeping track of names and numbers very easy. i have them segmented by region, so if i travel, i can download all of my numbers for friends in that region, then re-synch when i get home for local numbers. keeps the phone book clean and easy to access.

again, the v3 is the same phone as the v300/400...with bluetooth (which is why i said v551 before). Not worth it.

I like the fact that it is larger than most of those tiny phones out there. I think it makes it easier to talk on and press the buttons. If I needed a new phone, it would be one of my top choices.

Remember the Motorola Startac! Now that was a cool phone, big pimpin.

Razor doesn't do video, V551 does. other than that and the case design, they really are the same phone.

i just ordered mine. i went with the Rv3 Black. should be here next week.

i like not having an antenna since they always break on me. i also like the thin case. only downside was the price ($200) and i had to get a new data connect cable ($25). the V551 is offered with a $100 rebate in Boston with Cingular.

Same here. When I had a StarTac, the antenna broke 50 times because of absolutely terrible engineering (or because they wanted them to break so easily to make you go and pay $10 to have it fixed).

Speaking of StarTac, the Razr seems to be the same fad/trend sensation that the StarTac was. The StarTac was the first popular small phone, and it was the cool thing to have (I got mine after it was cool). Unfortunately I didn't find out it was a piece of junk until the first few of mine that broke. I suspect the same will be true for the Razr, and the fact that it's made by Motorola doesn't help either.

V3 uses Firewire port for charging.

I like mine very much. Best phone I've had since my StarTac.
