For all of those who wanted to know what the color was of the SVT pace car was it was called Mandarin Copper Metallic Clearcoat and the paint code is B6/M6988. i think i am gonna paint my side skirts that color! Here is the color in question.
'99 Contour SE Sport, 50k, V-6, ATX, T-Red, With Many many mods.
'99 GMC Sonoma SLS, 16k, 4-cyl, Summit white, not as many mods.

There is a place on the net that mixes the stuff for a decent price. but i'll call Ford Mo. Co. tomorrow to see how much it is retail and then call my hook up to get my pricec.

IIRC that color is an option on Ford Explorers. Probably not that much more expensive than any other Ford paints. I think the pace car was a lighter shade though...
