Was that why you were gone for 8 days? Yes, we will miss you but hey, the internet is everywhere. Er..., with your big bucks and busy schedule, will you still be messing with the SVT and be a moderator here?  Congratulations! Nice to hear that good guys also finish first. Would have preferred if you moved to the DC area? But hey, don't think many companies in the DC area can match what you will be getting.

How hard would it be fore you to leave friends/family behind?
You'll have a lot of vacation time, so would you use some of it to vacation back in the states?
Have you read up on Kuwait-y culture and how well you'd be able to adjust to a new lifestyle in a new country?
How easy will it be for you to go about everyday life routine things that you're used to doing here?

Is this in an area (job and location) that would regularly put you in harm's way? I can understand your wife's fears about moving over there, especially with the image of Americans that people in the middle east have right now. But if you're in a 'safe enough' area (we know how flawed that statement is), then things should be fine. And for that money!! Damn! Like Todd said, just carry a big frieken gun! ... I think a Desert Eagle would be a nice choice

from what i know of kuwait, it's very safe, quite wealthy, and very modern (has malls and all of that!) i'd say do it!!

I'd say do it for at least a couple years. who knows, after getting this job and performing well, another opportunity might open up back over here in the states. I'll assume this job is at least somewhat gov't related (even if they're just a contracting company that does gov't stuff time-2-time). let's face it, that really is middle-high class pay, probably even fall into high class (even though that's usually $millions). 200k, add the bills on there you're probably closer to 275-300k, for getting to travel and see a new place for a few years. if safety isn't an issue, and it's a job you'd enjoy, go.
