I really like the way the new A4 looks but the 1.8 T seems badly underpowered. I test drove the IS300 and felt really tight but doesn't really feel like a performance upgrade from my SVT. The RX8 seems interesting, that is why I'm wondering if I should wait around for it before I make my final decision. I am not in any hurry and would hate to jump into something and then fall in love with the RX8 or something else that hasn't come out yet. Thanks for all your inputs, keep them coming....
Were you driving the new A4 or the old? Also you should check out the aftermarket for the 1.8T...its mad tuneable as most Turbo'ed engines are....and very mod friendly. It would be my choice, and the new suspension package is supposed to be pretty nice. Hopefully the new S4 will be out soon....Me Wants Twin Turbo 3Liter!!!

I love the way the BMW's look but I think they are somewhat overpriced, plus I just think my next car will be turbo'ed.

Good Luck and let us know what you decide!

Stay true to your feelings, if you feel better about getting bang for the buck, do it, it's all a bunch of marketing hype to bilk us out of our hard earned dollars anyways. If you win the lottery, then buy whatever floats your desires. I bet you'll still get more satisfaction from the bang for the buck ride?
Paul

A study done 8-10 years ago, showed if a person only bought and kept a car every 10 years, they would be $300K ahead of the person who replaced every 3-4 years. And if they leased another $150K-250K. Retirement would be so much sweeter.
I know, the other side, enjoy now for you may die tomorrow. Unfortunately too many people are doing just that and I believe it's part of the reason the economy is so hosed. Greed!

Is this the same car that gave the M5 a run for its money in that C&D test last August? And it's only $35K rebadged as a GTO? I need a second job! smile
