Ever since I sold my old G35 to get my business and real estate ventures started, things have been going very good (Should of done this to begin with
), and I got some very nasty bites from the new car bug that's flying around all of CEG
. Well anyways, after considering several older sports cars that cost as much or more than some new cars, the new BMW 330i (not out yet), and the G35, a friend of mine told me that the Lexus GS430 was the car of his dreams and that he was going to get one before next spring.
Now this ladies & gentlemen, is a very special car. I have admired this car since it first went into production in December of 1996, and thought that the VVT-i V8 was one of the smartest "muscle" engines ever built. I also have always liked how the torque was higher than HP and acceleration was so smooth. Well long story short, after a few test drives and evaluation sessions, I decided to give myself a personal present for the hard work and accomplishments I have been able to achieve this year, and dropped an order on the new V8.
I have a friend that works at a loyal Lexus dealer and he was able to help me with the numbers since the specifics of the special order deemed it such a long delivery, added to the fact that I was willing to wait. Now this desicion has been coming along ever since I saw the new model in commercials & pictures and realized how amazingly tasty the bodystyle and design was. The only problem is that the 6-speeds MTXs are not mass-produced with Navigation systems so I need to wait till January for even an ETA
. Oh well, I think it will be worth the wait...
Anyways, I ordered it in Mercury metallic with the Ash Perforated Leather Trim with Black Bird�s-Eye Maple Accent interior, since I have never liked the natural wood trim colors (They don't have the stainless accents). Now I am going to have to give up one of the cars since I refuse to have 3 cars, and I think it will be the Civic so rest assured I will NOT become a troll!
The wait time is due to a combination of special things I ordered, additionally to combining the 6-speed manual with navi system. TRD-installed LSD was another factor that delayed the order... Mind you I am NOT going to go crazy modding this car. Matter of fact planned mods are a lowered suspension, factory lip kit, and MYBE a set of forged 20" wheels, but THAT'S IT!
