Hi all. To start, if this is in the wrong forum, please move it.
I just bought a Contour on Monday--a 98 SVT w/69k on the clock. I'm very happy with it so far and hope to have many good discussions with you all.
So far, it's completely stock except for the CD player, but I will probably add a bit or two--if only to get over that 200 hp hump

Thanks
I paid $6600 + TTL.
There were very few of these for sale within a reasonable radius. There was a cheaper 99 w/47k from a private party that I was looking at, but I picked the one I did because the dealership gave me a 3-month warranty and fresh tires...and because I like silver more than I do red
As for the skid mark, is it that obvious that I just found a good one on the ground and parked on top of it?

Looks very nice, love that last picture. It's getting harder and harder to find one with reasonably low miles. That price sounds about right.

BELLY WASHERS!
Congrats on your purchase... BTW you get a 98.5 because you have the cobra styla wheels... a Normal 98's wheels are a little different then that... Congrats on your purchase.. I certainly am jelious.

Looks sharp man. You definetly bought your SVT at the right time. 70k sucks for waterpumps and clutches, I wish you better luck than I've had with mine. Welcome to the boards!
I just noticed that my post seemed a bit negative. Don't listen to me you will love your car, I certainly love mine.

no, i thought you really did do a burn out. Im guessing since you bought it used and looks stock, it doesnt have a limited slip differential, hense the 1 wheel burnout.

Man! Mine has *really* low miles! 132,300! CSVT still runs great and you chose a good car...except in the rain....stupid puddles.
