Welcome. Brown is not a good color. Try changing the ATF first. That might be your problem there.

Oh, and when you do the drain and refill, it only changes about 3.5 litres each time (unless you get a flush done by a dealer or indie). You should drain, refill with 3.5 litres (drive around for 5 minutes or so to go through the gears in the transmission), drain, refill with 3.5 litres (drive for 5 minutes again) and then drain, refill with 3.5 litres and then check after driving the Mondeo for while to make sure the level is correct before adding more to Max line.
