It's obviously lost on the two of you. I never said that taking a vacation to a specific country will teach you all you need to know about that place.

I am saying that traveling amoungst other people and spending actual time outside of the norm, they will come away from that exposure with a better understanding of how the world IS, not what you've read or seen on the boob tube.
