I'll get roughly 50-100 a day on my junk AOL account. Last night I emptied 735 emails on that inbox, most spam, dated since July 16th.
It's exactly why I have two e-mail addresses. I haven't gotten *any* spam on my legitimate school address in the past four years, since I only give that one out to actual people (and the Dell store, but that's because my AOL account was being stupid at the time). The little spam I get on that account is only through a mailing list that made its way to a spammer, for example the MUG (Mac User's Group) e-mail list. I also created an alias for Facebook and the like, so if I ever do start receiving spam I can delete that alias and make a new one.
