Nope, not a custom plate. Just my wonderful luck when DMV chose the plate. I hated it at first, but it always gets laughes with people so I don't mind anymore. Gives my car character.

Funny short story:

I'm checking in at a campground last month. The office takes all my information, then they need to give the tag to hang on the mirror while I stay. Guy at the desk goes, ok, and the license plate of the vehicle. I say it with no laughing or smiling, 529 STD. He starts to write it and I see his face holding back from laughing. My friend standing with me just busts out laughing so the guy couldn't resist and did the same.

They have to write only the last 3 digits of the plate, so he writes in huge letters, and says it slow as he's writing it, S....T.....D..... Here you go, wear it with pride.
