I would have expected a Clinton pic instead.

No. JKO prodded JFK Jr. to salute and take advantage of an historic photo opportunity. It was political because it was meant to further advance the image of their family. She was criticized for it heavily.

He was the king of photo opps, that's for sure. I can't think of how many times he posed with the bible outside church, only to think about what probably actually happened inside that church.

Ack! Please don't add typos in for me.
When she died, and when JFK Jr. died, several commentators (NOT right-wing talk show hosts, because I know that's what you're thinking) brought up how classless it was for her to take advantage of that photo opportunity. I doubt anyone criticized the Queen of America at the time, but history has judged that moment to be in poor taste.

Oh, so that's why RT called you a storyteller. Now it makes sense.

By who? By someone even close to the middle or by some right wing fish wrap scribe who if he lost vision in his right eye would gouge out the left one because he just refused see things "that" way?
I could believe that the kid was told to salute (Dad was a serviceman after all and the casket was draped with the flag) but as for it (intensionally) being part of some grand scheme I don't think so.

Makes perfect sense...except for the fact that I'm not telling any stories.
