funny you mention this, i took my girlfriend to lunch today and there was a guy getting ticketed for leaving a dog in his van...someone at the resturaunt must have called the cops....it was 101 degrees today....so at 2 oclock inside a van in the freakin sun it must have been 110-115 easily.

That is pure animal cruelty. If I were to do that and HAD to do that, I would leave the car running with AC on and lock it with my spare set of keys (needless to say, I am single and never carry them anymore.. but still).

It amazes me how arrogant some people are.

Call the animal people, and if they don't show up quickly (1/2 hour or so) ... a good old fashioned half-brick is your friend to rescuing that poot mutt!

That is, my friend, the best time. I actually did it once and the company ... err ... 'released me' with glowing references as they didn't want a S/L of negative PR!

Get a grip. My mom and dad left me in the car during the summer all the time and I it left no lasting effects. Now if you will excuse me, the room is spinning so its time to take my pills.

Screw that, 911 all the way!!!

Dogs, kids, same difference...They will all DIE if left in a vehicle in the sun for long enough. ANd if the owner is that stupid, screw them. They need to have the ticket and their window busted out.

For some reason, every year when it gets hot here, we have a rash of children or animals left in the cars by idiot adults. Who the crap gets out of their car and leaves the kid in there by accident? What in the world is on their mind that keeps them from thinking about the safety of their children? It is sick...

when i worked at home depot (and i had the power/support to cause trouble and get away with it) we had a woman leave her child in the car, in the loading zone, come in during a very busy time and demand help unloading lumber and to be put in the front of the rather long returns line because her "child is in the car so [she] is in a hurry."

me: no. side note-keep in mind i am just a nobody in the company with no power to make what i call command decsions

her: you have to because i can't leave my kid in the car

me: then don't. act like you love your kid for once

her: i have to return this stuff and i need help

at this point a group of associates is gathering behind me announcing support for me

me: there is no way in hell anyone here is going to help you with anything. i will guarantee this.

her: *huffs and puffs and storms out of the building pissed off not to be seen again*

me: i f'n thought so b***h

fortunately no one complained so i didn't get in any trouble even though the supervisor that heard it officially had to disapprove. he just pretended he heard nothing.
